college recruiting support —

for more than just a scholarship

The recruiting process wasn’t built for clarity. It was built for the lucky few.

Most student-athletes — and their parents — are left to figure it out on their own.

What should your kid say in an email to a coach?
When should they start reaching out?
What’s realistic for their playing level?
Do they even want to keep playing — or are they scared to say they’re unsure?

It’s confusing. It’s pressure-filled. And it often feels like everyone else knows something you don’t.

Club coaches are stretched thin. High school counselors don’t know your athlete.

And recruiting services? Expensive, impersonal, and focused on one thing: getting someone, anyone, to sign.

You deserve more than that.

The recruiting process is a black box full of gate-kept knowledge, complicated jargon, and self-doubt.

This isn’t just about getting a scholarship. It’s about helping your athlete figure out who they are and what they want.

Because what’s at stake here isn’t just where they’ll play next.

It’s:
— how they advocate for themselves
— how they show up with confidence
— how they handle rejection
— how they define success on their terms

That’s why I created The Athlete Advocate — to support the whole athlete.

The one who wants to keep playing… but needs a guide.
The one who’s been overlooked… but deserves options.
The one who wants to make a proud, clear decision… and feel good about what comes next.

If that sounds like your athlete — you’re in the right place.

Skip the stress.

Start with a strategy. ~

Introducing

The Recruiting Roadmap

A 6-month private coaching experience for soccer student-athletes and their families.

We focus on recruiting strategy, confidence, and communication — not just highlight reels and rankings.

null

Mentorship for student-athletes and families navigating the college recruiting process —

with clarity, confidence, and a coach who’s actually in their corner.

This coaching program is for…

  • High school athletes in grades 9–12

  • Students who want to explore college sports with intention

  • Families looking for personalized guidance, not pressure or generalized information

What’s Included

Kickoff Call

We start by mapping out your athlete’s goals — from playing level and academic interests to school culture and values. This is the foundation for everything that follows.

Personalized Recruiting Game Plan + College List

We’ll build a customized college list with stretch, fit, and safety programs. I’ll walk your student through how to research schools, assess division fit (DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, JuCo), and build a real plan for outreach and timing.

6 Monthly 1:1 Sessions

These deep-dive calls are where growth happens. Whether we’re reviewing emails, preparing for a call with a coach, managing burnout, or updating video — these sessions meet your athlete where they are.

Coach Communication Support

I’ll help draft and review emails, roleplay phone conversations, and teach your athlete how to follow up (and stand out) without being pushy. They’ll gain confidence, clarity, and professional communication tools.

Parent Call + Support Guide

This program includes a dedicated call just for parents — to walk you through timelines, coach contact rules, red flags, financial aid basics, and how to support your athlete (without adding pressure).

Confidence + Mindset Coaching

This is bigger than sports. We’ll cover how to handle rejection, make values-based decisions, stay grounded through stress, and define success beyond a scholarship.

Highlight Reel + Portfolio Feedback

No need for a professional editing team — I’ll help your athlete structure a strong video, select the right clips, and organize their stats, awards, and story in a way coaches actually want to see.

Unlimited Text + Email Support (M–F)

If a coach replies unexpectedly? If your athlete has a bad game and spirals? I’m here between sessions for check-ins, quick feedback, and support when it’s needed most.

Hi! I’m Alex

By day, I’ve worked in the sports compliance office of a D1 Big-1o university, played semi-professional soccer in England, and streamlined operations for a championship-winning MLS team.

By night, I’ve helped hundreds of young athletes realize their full potential on and off the field as a club soccer coach.

Now, I’m bringing my Masters in Intercollegiate Athlete Leadership and my over 2 decades of sports knowledge into a custom program to help athletes and their families.

A smiling man with short hair and a beard, wearing a light blue denim jacket over a white t-shirt, standing outdoors in front of a blurred background of buildings.
A soccer player wearing a maroon and white jersey with the number 13 kicking a soccer ball on a green field, with another player in blue in the background and autumn-colored trees surrounding the field.
Two men in black soccer jerseys sitting in a small red utility vehicle, smiling and posing for the camera.
A girls' soccer team wearing white and blue uniforms with medals around their necks, posing with their coaches in front of a yellow backdrop that says 'Skagit Firecracker 2019.'
Youth soccer team in white jerseys and blue shorts with medals and a trophy, posing for a photo at a WACUP championship event under a purple and blue tent with WPL logos.
Two young men standing on a grassy field at a soccer camp, smiling, with a soccer field and children practicing in the background.
  • Alex is such a wise and loving mentor. I was so impressed and am so grateful for the way he coached my son and the team through some emotional moments.

Paige, mom to a 17-year-old athlete

  • I've learned so much from Alex, not just about soccer but about teamwork and dedication. I am so thankful that he believed in me and always pushed me.

    T, 16-year-old athlete

  • Whenever I had a problem big or small, Alex was always so calm and understanding and just listened to me patiently -- and then offered what he thought would be the best approach.

    L, 14-year-old athlete

  • Our boys have learned and grown tremendously under Alex's care. His attention to their personal growth as well as their athletic growth didn't go unnoticed.

    Parents, 14-year-old athletes

  • Alex has had such a positive and lasting impact on my son. I was talking to him and he said: "Mom, you know how people talk about role models? I think maybe Alex is a role model for me."

    Maria, mom to 14-year-old athlete
